Honda has said that the upcoming CBR650R will be priced under Rs. 8 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, bookings are now open and customers can place their orders by paying a token amount of Rs. 15,000.
The CBR650R replaces the CBR650F. In terms of styling, the CBR650R gets a twin LED headlamp setup in the front with a digital instrument cluster and a single underside exhaust. It comes with 41 mm Showa upside down fork suspension at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the rear.
The CBR650R is powered by a 649cc, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 94 BHP @ 12,000 rpm and 64 Nm of torque @ 8,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a slipper clutch. The brake setup consists of twin 310 mm discs with 4-piston calipers in the front and a single 240 mm disc at the rear with a single piston caliper.
The CBR650R will be available in two colour options – Grand Prix Red and Gunpowder Black Metallic.
