The Hyundai Exter will go on sale in India on July 10, 2023. Bookings for the brand’s latest sub-4 meter crossover are already open and customers can place their orders by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000.
The Hyundai Exter will be offered in EX, S, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect trims. The car features a rugged look with an upright front fascia featuring a prominent Parametric grille, H-shaped LED daytime running lights and projector headlamps positioned in square pods on the front bumper. At the rear, the Exter gets wraparound tail lamps with the ‘H’ graphic and a piano black strip connecting the two clusters. It has a chunky rear bumper with black trim, a silver skid plate, and dual exhausts. The car also gets blacked-out A and B-pillars, roof rails, squared-off wheel arches with diamond-cut alloy wheels and pull-type door handles.
The Exter is equipped with over 40 advanced safety features. It gets a Dashcam with dual camera, TPMS, ISOFIX, a headlamp escort function and a rear parking camera. Other safety features include ESC, Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Hill Assist Control, 3-point seatbelt and seatbelt reminder for all seats, ABS with EBD and Burglar alarm.
In India, the Exter will be available with a 1.2-litre petrol engine mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT and a CNG version equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission.
