The Stargazer will share its underpinnings with the Kia MPV (codenamed: KY).
There have been rumours about Hyundai developing an MPV to rival the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga for some time. Now, according to a media report, the new MPV could be called the ‘Stargazer’ (codenamed: Hyundai KS).
The Stargazer will share its underpinnings with the Kia MPV (codenamed: KY) that is also expected to arrive at our shores. It is basically the same platform that underpins the Creta. The MPV could be offered with 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions.
In terms of its styling, the Stargazer is expected to adopt Hyundai’s bold new design language. It could feature an imposing front fascia similar to the new Tucson.
The Stargazer is said to have been developed specifically for emerging markets like India, Indonesia and Russia. The car is likely to be unveiled in Indonesia in 2022.
