Hyundai has announced that it plans to unveil the Venue compact SUV in India on April 17, 2019. The car’s global unveiling will take place at the New York Auto Show.
As a build up to the unveiling, Hyundai has released a few design sketches of the car. The Venue has a cascade grille with split headlamps on either side. It has flared wheel arches, blacked-out A and B-pillars and roof rails. The rear features a raked windshield and wraparound rectangular tail lamps.
One of the images suggests that the Venue is likely to get dual-tone interiors with a floating touchscreen infotainment system. It also appears to have a 3-spoke steering wheel and a sloping centre console.
According to media reports, the Venue is likely to get 1.4-litre petrol and diesel engine options in addition to a 1.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine. Transmission options might include a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
