The Hero Xoom 125 could be powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine.
Hero MotoCorp seems to be working on a new scooter for the Indian market. Reports suggest that this test mule, spotted recently in Jaipur could be the upcoming Xoom 125.
Despite the heavy camouflage, the prototype looks quite sporty. It has a sharp-looking front apron with what appears to be a V-shaped headlamp and a single-piece seat with a split grab rail.
If this is indeed the upcoming Xoom 125, it could be powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder engine, details of which, are still unclear. The scooter will use a continuously variable transmission. The suspension setup comprises a telescopic fork at the front and a single shock absorber at the rear.
In terms of features, the Xoom 125 is likely to get a digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charger, under seat storage with a few cubby holes on the front apron.
