The Defender 130 will be sold in China, North America, and the Middle East.
Land Rover has confirmed a new 3-row variant of the Defender called the Defender 130. It will be sold in China, North America, and the Middle East.
The Defender 130 will have the same wheelbase as the Defender 110 (3,022 mm). However, the overall length of the SUV will be increased by 342 mm to 5,100 mm. It is expected to be offered in 7-seat and 8-seat configurations.
It is still unclear as to what powertrain options will be offered in the Defender 130. However, it could use the 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder plug-in hybrid that puts out 197 BHP and 500 Nm and the recently introduced 5.0-litre V8 that makes 511 BHP and 625 Nm.
In India, the Defender is offered with a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 296 BHP and 400 Nm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and a permanent four-wheel drive system. The carmaker also offers the P400e variant which uses a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine and a 141 BHP electric motor.
