According to a media report, the launch of the eKUV100 EV has been delayed due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The eKUV100 was expected to arrive in showrooms later this year, but it has now been reported that Mahindra has deferred the launch of the car.
Mahindra had announced the price of the eKUV100 at the 2020 Auto Expo. Priced at Rs. 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom, India), it was scheduled to go on sale later this year.
The eKUV100 is powered by a 40 kW electric motor that has an output of 53 BHP and 120 Nm. It comes with a 15.9 kWh lithium-ion battery that is claimed to offer a range of 120 km on a single charge.
Mahindra is also planning to introduce the eXUV300 in 2021.
