A test mule of the Mahindra XUV300 has been caught testing. The SUV is believed to be powered by the new 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine from Mahindra’s mStallion family of engines.
The test mule seen in these images has emissions testing apparatus mounted on the rear. Besides that, the SUV looks identical to the regular XUV300. It is the W8 variant which comes with dual-tone alloy wheels and projector headlights with L-shaped LED daytime running lights.
The new 1.2-litre T-GDI engine produces 128 BHP and 230 Nm and is expected to be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Reports suggest that Mahindra will continue to offer the existing 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines in the XUV300.
