MG Astor to be launched on October 11

The MG Astor is the petrol version of the ZS EV. It competes with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and the VW Taigun.

MG Motor India is set to announce the prices for the Astor on October 11, 2021.

The MG Astor is the petrol version of the ZS EV. It competes with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq and the VW Taigun.

The Astor will be offered in eight variants – Style, Super, Smart Std, Smart, Sharp Std, Sharp, Savvy and Savvy Red. The SUV comes equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, panoramic sunroof and a digital instrument cluster.

Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) will be offered on higher variants. This includes safety features such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist and more.

The SUV will be available with two engine options. These include a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol unit producing 138 BHP and 230 Nm and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated motor that puts out 118 BHP and 150 Nm. The former will be available with an automatic transmission, while the 1.5-litre engine will come with the option of a manual and CVT.
