The MG Comet EV will be unveiled on April 19, 2023.
MG Motor India has announced the start of production of the Comet EV. The first car recently rolled out of the brand’s Halol plant in Gujarat.
The MG Comet EV is based on the GSEV platform, which is shared with the Wuling Air EV sold in the international market. It uses a solid steel frame, while the body is constructed from 17 hot stamping panels.
The Comet EV is a 4-seater 3-door micro-hatchback with a wheelbase of 2,010 mm. The car features a tall boy design and comes with dual projector headlamps and a charging port up front and LED lights with an LED light bar at the back.
Inside, the car gets dual 10.25-inch screens for the touchscreen infotainment system and digital instrument cluster.
The Wuling Air sold globally is offered with two battery options: 17.3 kWh with 200 km of range and a 26.7 kWh battery offering 300 km of range. Technical details of the Indian version are still unknown.
