According to MG, it has received more than 50,000 bookings for the Hector in just 8 months since its launch.
The Hector was launched in June 2019. MG claims to have sold nearly 20,000 units since then.
The MG Hector is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 141 BHP @ 5,000 rpm and 250 Nm of torque @ 1,600-3,600 rpm and a 2.0-litre diesel with 168 BHP @ 3,750 rpm and 350 Nm of torque @ 1,750-2,500 rpm. The petrol hybrid variant uses a 48-volt lithium-ion battery that offers an additional 20 Nm of torque assistance when required.
MG is planning to launch a 6-seater Hector called the Hector Plus in Q3 of 2020. This SUV was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo.
