The new arena will feature 30 driving rigs for esports racing competitions.
Millennial Esports, a company that does exactly what it says it does, is opening the first dedicated esports racing facility — and it is doing so in Miami. The complex will host other esports, as well, but the main stage will feature 30 racing simulators that can be linked together or networked globally to compete with drivers across the world. It’s scheduled to open in 2020.
Esports is the name for professional competition in video games, be it driving, sports, combat or anything else. Gaming now tops film, TV and digital music in market size by a wide margin.
Millennial Esports has been partnering with other companies including Allinsports, a manufacturer of racing simulators and rigs; Eden Games; Ideas+Cars; and Stream Hatchet, among others. The new facility is 12,000 square feet and is located in the Wynwood area that features restaurants, breweries and retail.
