Two official teasers of the upcoming Bentley Flying Spur have dropped online, previewing the new luxury limousine
Bentley has revealed two shadowy teaser images, previewing the design of its upcoming Flying Spur. Based on a similar platform to the new Continental GT, the British brand’s latest four-door limousine is expected to make its debut by the end of the year, with updated looks and fresh tech.
The official teasers are all but enlightening, detailing only the new Spur’s rough silhouette and the firm’s trademark ‘Flying B’ bonnet ornament. Our previously spied test mules give a far better indication of its design, strongly hinting that it’ll adopt features from the new Continental GT, such as its wider front grille, oval tail-lights and updated headlamps.

It’ll be built on an extended version of the MSB platform, which also underpins the Continental GT. The fresh architecture supports 48V electrification and we expect fresh tech from the coupe will be carried directly over to the saloon, such as active anti-roll bars and Bentley’s Dynamic Ride suspension system.
Under the bonnet will sit a revised version of the firm’s trademark 6.0-litre W12 engine, producing 626bhp and 900Nm of torque. The cabin should receive all of the Continental GT’s fresh trinkets, such as the new 12.3-inch infotainment system headlining the rotating, three-sided panel in the dashboard.
As with the new Continental GT, a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine will also be made available, with 542bhp and 770Nm of torque. The new powertrain features a stop/start function and cylinder deactivation technology, and Bentley claims it allows its coupe to cover 500 miles on a single tank. However, we expect a reduced range for the heavier Flying Spur.
