Official pictures of the new BMW 7 Series have leaked online revealing the luxury saloons distinctive front end
Pictures of the updated BMW 7 Series have leaked before its official reveal – and cooling the car’s range of petrol, diesel and hybrid engines doesn’t look set to be much of an issue.
The main change to the styling comes at the front, where the already substantial front kidney grilles of the existing car have grown a couple of inches taller than before. The new giant grille frames – similar to those seen on the X7 SUV – are now linked in the middle, further emphasising their width, and the bonnet is taller and flatter to accommodate the new face.

The grilles are flanked by headlights that are slightly slimmer than before, and the front bumper gains redesigned air intakes.
Around the back, there will be several reprofiled bumper designs fitted according to trim level, revised graphics for the tail lights which now integrate a full-width LED light bar also feature. The leaked images show new alloy wheel designs, too.
The leaked images, which appear to have been taken from a BMW configurator, don´t give us any look at the updated car´s cabin. However, we expect the 7 Series to make use of the latest version of the iDrive infotainment setup used by the latest X5 and 8 Series, plus an updated digital instrument panel.
The existing model is powered by a range of three diesel engines, a petrol/electric plug-in hybrid and the range-topping V12 M760Li. Depending on model, both rear- and four-wheel drive are available.
