Maruti is expected to offer the new Celerio with 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engines.
We have seen patent images of the next generation Celerio before. Now, new spy images have revealed the actual car. These images were captured during an ad shoot.
Maruti Suzuki has adopted a more evolutionary approach when it comes to the design of the new Celerio. At the front, we have a fascia that is more upright. It features reshaped headlamps, a grille and a new bumper. The car gets a reprofiled rear end that features new tail lamp clusters and bumper.
The new Celerio is expected to be based on the fifth-generation Heartect platform. It appears to be slightly larger and has a more upright stance compared to the outgoing model.
The interior has been given a thorough makeover as well. The car features a new dashboard with a touchscreen head-unit in the centre, a 3-spoke steering wheel and a basic instrument cluster.
Maruti is expected to offer the new Celerio with 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engines, while transmission options might include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT.
