A leaked brochure of the Nissan Kicks sheds some light on the variant details and features of the upcoming SUV.
The Nissan Kicks will be launched on January 22, 2019. According to the leaked brochure, it will be available in four variants – XL, XV, XV Pre and XV Pre Option. The base XL trim comes with halogen headlamps with LED DRLs and 16-inch steel wheels. It comes with single-tone interiors with features such as 6-way adjustable seat, electrically adjustable ORVMs with turn signals, automatic climate control with rear AC vent, 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth and Nissan Connect.
The XV variant gets 17-inch 5-spoke machined alloy wheels, front fog lamps, 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, voice recognition, rear view camera, multi-function steering wheel and rear wiper. The diesel version gets an ECO Mode.
The XV Pre variant gets LED projector headlamps, power folding ORVMs, cruise control, engine start/stop button, smart card for keyless entry and two front tweeters.
The top-spec XV Pre Option trims gets all the above-mentioned features as well as dual-tone interiors with leather seats, front fog lamps with cornering function, automatic headlamps with follow-me-home lights and rain sensing wipers. The top variant also comes with a 360-degree camera.
Standard safety features include ABS with EBD and brake assist, dual front airbags and rear parking sensors. Vehicle Dynamic Control is available on all variants except for the base trim, but only with the diesel version. Hill Start Assist is available on the XV Pre and XV Pre Option trims, while side airbags and rear fog lamp are only offered on the top-spec Kicks.
The Nissan Kicks will be offered with two engine options – 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol that makes 105 BHP @ 5,600 rpm and 142 Nm of torque @ 4,000 rpm and 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel that puts out 108 BHP @ 3,850 rpm and 240 Nm @ 1,750 rpm. The petrol engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, while the diesel will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
All variants are available in 7 colours – Pearl White, Blade Silver, Bronze Grey, Amber Orange, Deep Blue Pearl, Night Shade, and Fire Red. The top-spec variant gets the option of 4 dual-tone finishes – Pearl White and Amber Orange, Pearl White and Onyx Black, Bronze Grey and Amber Orange, and Fire Red and Onyx Black.
