This Nissan Skyline GT-R is undoubtedly one of the most beloved sports cars to come from Japan. The Skyline's combination of power, track prowess and geographic limitations have made it a JDM legend. All that basically means that the Skyline GT-R is still desirable to this day and is demanding good money for low-mileage and unmolested examples.
Apparently, this has caught the eye of Nissan, which is starting to reproduce the Skyline GT-R’s RB26 2.6-liter inline-six engine … at least, the block, cylinder head and wiring harness. It doesn’t look like Nissan is taking the hard work under its wing, and you’ll have to assemble the new parts on your own, but the new supply of blocks and heads could be a welcome addition to GT-R owners and importers here in the States.
