Ola Electric has confirmed that its e-scooters will be sold internationally, starting with the European markets this fiscal year.
Ola Electric will introduce its first electric scooter in India in July 2021. Ahead of its arrival, Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman & Group CEO, Ola is said to have confirmed that the electric scooter will go on sale in international markets as well.
According to a media report, the company will expand to international markets sometime by late-2021 or early-2022. Reports suggest that the company is focussing primarily on important European countries. These include markets such as the UK, France, Spain, Italy and Germany, among others.
The electric scooters will be manufactured at the brand’s state-of-the-art facility coming up in Tamil Nadu. The new facility, once operational, will become the world’s largest scooter factory, with an annual production capacity of 2 million units. It will be used to meet the demand from both domestic and international markets.
