On average, Renault-Nissan’s Chennai plant has produced 1.92 lakh cars per year.
Renault-Nissan Automotive India has achieved a new production milestone. The carmaker has announced that 2.5 million cars have rolled off its assembly line in Chennai.
Over the past 13 years, Renault and Nissan have been manufacturing on average 1.92 lakh vehicles per year. In total, 20 models across both brands have been manufactured at the plant since commencing operations.
Renault-Nissan’s factory at Oragadam, Chennai, also serves international markets. The carmaker has exported more than 1.15 million vehicles from the Kamarajar port to more than 180 countries, including markets in the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, New Zealand, Australia, South-East Asia, SAARC countries and sub-Saharan Africa.
