The Ford EcoSport SE will not get a tailgate mounted spare wheel, which is in line with the EcoSport sold in global markets. In fact, the report claims that the SE will not get a spare wheel at all when it leaves the factory.
In February 2021, we had reported that Ford has started dealer dispatches of a new variant of the Ecosport called the SE, which would come without a tailgate mounted spare wheel. Now, according to a media report, the price of the Ford EcoSport SE will be announced by March 10, 2021. This news comes just after the company released a Bollywood themed teaser for the vehicle yesterday.
As mentioned earlier, the Ford EcoSport SE will not get a tailgate mounted spare wheel, which is in line with the EcoSport sold in global markets. In fact, the report claims that the SE will not get a spare wheel at all when it leaves the factory. Instead, it will get a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and a puncture repair kit. The car’s rear number plate will be housed on the tailgate instead of the bumper. The bumper, in turn, will sport a silver skid plate.
The EcoSport SE is could be offered with the same engine options as the regular model. These include a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine rated at 120 BHP and 149 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel engine developing 99 BHP and 215 Nm. The petrol engine is offered with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission while the diesel comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
