According to a media report, bookings for the Compass Trailhawk are likely to open by mid-June 2019. The SUV could be launched in July this year.
As reported by us earlier, trial production of the India-spec Compass Trailhawk has already commenced at the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) plant at Ranjangaon near Pune.
The Compass Trailhawk is expected to be positioned at the top of the Compass line up. It is expected to feature redesigned bumpers for improved approach and departure angles and higher ground clearance compared to the standard Compass. It is also likely to get painted tow hooks and a matte black decal on the bonnet.
The Compass Trailhawk is likely to be powered by a BS-VI compliant 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 171 BHP and 350 Nm of torque. The engine could be mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and Selec-Terrain 4WD system.
