According to a media report, Kia is planning to launch the SP Concept-based SUV in August 2019.
The SP Concept-based SUV will be Kia’s first offering in India. Test mules of the SUV have already been spotted testing on Indian roads. The spy images indicate that it is likely to get Kia’s tiger nose grille at the front, ORVMs with integrated turn signals and 5-spoke alloy wheels.
Reports suggest that Kia is likely to offer features like ventilated front seats, a touchscreen infotainment system with voice recognition, on-board Wi-Fi, wireless charging and a 360-degree camera. Higher variants might also get a digital instrument cluster, head-up display and an ambient lighting package. Automatic variants could get paddle shifters.
Kia hasn’t revealed the detailed specifications and powertrain options yet. However, the SUV is likely to get 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. It is expected to be priced between Rs. 10-16 lakhs.
