According to a media report, Mahindra is likely to launch a special edition of the Thar called the Signature Edition to mark the end of production of the current generation.
The Thar Signature Edition will reportedly be limited to 700 units and is likely to be offered in two colour options – Napoli Black and Aqua Marine. The Signature Edition is expected to come equipped with 15-inch alloy wheels, black bonnet decals and a silver front bumper. It is likely to get Signature Edition badges with Anand Mahindra’s signature. Inside, the Signature Edition will reportedly come with leatherette upholstery and front facing rear seats.
The Thar Signature Edition is expected to be powered by a 2.5-litre CRDe 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 105 BHP @ 3,800 rpm and 247 Nm @ 1,800-2,000 rpm and could be paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
