According to a media report, Tata Motors is said to have postponed the launch of the Altroz premium hatchback to early 2020.
The Tata Altroz is expected to be offered with three engine options including a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine from the Tiago, 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. The car is now expected to get BS-VI compliant engines at launch.
The Altroz is based on the modular ALFA platform and its styling is based on Tata’s Impact Design 2.0 philosophy. The car features a slim grille and headlamps with triangular fog lamp pods placed just below the main headlamp clusters. At the rear, the Altroz features wraparound tail lamps with gloss black trim in the centre.
On the inside, the Altroz gets a floating touchscreen infotainment system, 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster with an analogue speedometer similar to the one on the Harrier.
