The Baojun 530 SUV was recently spotted in Ahmedabad. The spy images suggest that the Indian version could get an MG-specific grille, unlike the twin-slat grille that was seen on earlier test mules.
The SUV has a hexagonal grille with a black mesh flanked by LED DRL strips on either side. The circular MG logo has been taped off. Twin-pod headlamps are positioned near the lower corners of the grille along with rectangular fog lamps. The front bumper has a wide air dam. The heavily camouflaged test mule appears to have ORVMs with integrated turn signals and roof rails.
Reports suggest that the Baojun 530 could be offered with a BS-VI ready 1.5-litre, turbocharged petrol engine in addition to a Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel.
