The new Vitara Brezza (codenamed: YXA) will be offered with a petrol engine.
The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza received a mid-life update in February last year. Now, we have been told that the carmaker is working on the car’s replacement.
The new Vitara Brezza is said to be codenamed YXA and the launch is expected in the third quarter of 2021. It is also said that domestic parts vendors are already in place, which is a crucial step before local production can begin.
Initially, the new Vitara Brezza will be offered with a BS6-compliant petrol engine only. However, rumours suggest that a BS6-compliant diesel engine could be introduced in 2022.
At present, the Vitara Brezza is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 104 BHP and 138 Nm. It comes paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
