Tata Motors has unveiled the H2X Concept SUV at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.
The H2X Concept is based on Tata’s new scalable architecture called the Agile, Light, Flexible and Advanced (ALFA) platform. It is likely to spawn a micro-SUV (codenamed: Hornbill). It is styled along the lines of Tata’s Impact Design 2.0 philosophy and features a more rugged look with chunky wheel arches. The car has a slim grille similar to the Harrier with LED daytime running lights on either side. It has a dual-tone front bumper with a silver skid plate and Y-shaped inserts.
At the rear, the H2X Concept has wraparound tail lights with a Y-pattern and dual-tone bumper with a silver skid plate. The SUV has a floating roof design and dual-tone inserts on the sides. The interior of the car is finished in a dual-tone of white and grey. It has a large screen that houses the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system, rectangular air-conditioning vents with turquoise highlights and a U-shaped steering wheel.
The production version of the H2X Concept is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine. It is likely to be positioned below the Nexon in the company’s line up. It could compete with the Mahindra KUV100, Hyundai’s micro-SUV and Maruti’s Future S Concept based product.
