Tata Motors has finally launched the Tiago JTP and the Tigor JTP in India. The Tiago JTP is priced at ₹ 6.39 lakh while the Tigor JTP costs ₹ 7.49 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi). The company first showcased the cars at the Auto Expo 2018 and has unveiled them in the production guise. The Tata Tiago JTP and the Tigor JTP are the first products coming out of the joint venture between Tata Motors and Jayem Automotives Pvt. Ltd. The company will sell the car in limited cities. The company has confirmed that it will sell it in about 15 cities. The cars will be available in only 30 Tata Motors dealerships across the country.
Both the cars get JTP badges all around
The Tiago and Tigor JTP target the younger, dynamic and aspirational set of buyers. Both the cars come with enhancements to the exterior. They come with an aggressive front bumper with large trapezoidal lower grille. The dual chamber projector headlamps with chrome rings look really good and bring out a different look of the car altogether.
The Tata Tiago JTP comes with 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels
The cars also come with side skirts and contrast coloured outside mirrors. They also get dual tone exterior colour with glossy black roof and a rear spoiler. There are enough and more JTP badges around the car to tell everyone that you’re driving a go fast version.
The Tiago JTP and the Tigor JTP gets the badge on the front grille, fender vents and rear. Both the cars ride on 15-inch diamond cut dual tone alloy wheels. The wider tyres provide better grip and help you enjoy the drive.
The Tiago JTP gets red accents on the AC vents, premium leather wrapped steering with contrast red stitching
The sporty elements continue on the inside. The cabin is all black and to enhance the experience there’s a splash of red all around the cabin. There are red accents on the AC vents, premium leather wrapped steering with contrast red stitching and even the seat fabric comes with red hexagonal motif. The red double stitching on the seats and the gearshift gaiter act as differentiators for the cars.

The performance oriented versions also get aluminium pedal extensions which enhance the sporty experience. The cars also come with the ConnectNext infotainment system by Harman’ which is paired with 8 speakers and app suite and voice command recognition is part of the package. But of course, you want to know what’s under the hood.
The Tigor JTP can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just 10 seconds
The Tiago JTP and the Tigor JTP come powered by the 1.2 -litre turbocharged Revotron petrol engine which delivers 112 bhp and 150Nm of peak torque. Tata Motors says that the JTP versions of both the cars can go from 0-100kmph in 10 seconds.

Both the cars come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with optimized gear ratios for superior acceleration and extraordinary performance and are also equipped with multi drive modes – Sport and City.

The suspension on both the cars has been tuned for better ride control. The ride height too has been lowered while the wider tyres provide for better grip on the road. On the safety front, both the Tiago JTP and the Tigor JTP come equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD and corner stability control.
Both the cars get the 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron petrol engine
The Tiago has been the company’s bestseller ever since its launch in India and the performance version adds to its appeal. The Tigor too will look to generate some more interest with this version.
