For 2021, Ford has modeled its new GT Heritage Edition after the original GT40 Mk. II driven by Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby to victory at the 1966 24-hour Daytona race.
Drawing from the design of the race-winner, the new edition is dressed from head to toe in a pristine Frozen White and decorated with asymmetrical black carbon fiber and red accents. The body then sits on four 20-inch one-piece Heritage Gold forged-aluminium wheels offering a view into the vibrant red Brembo monoblock calipers, while “98” adorns both doors and the hood, a nod to the original 1966 racer’s number. Extending the color scheme into the interior through Alcantara upholstery are the seats and the steering wheel, all of which are also dressed in black and red. As an additional option, Ford provides Heritage Upgrade Package which brings carbon fiber wheels with glossy red inner barrels along with carbon fiber door panels.
