Memorial Day is one of the biggest car-shopping weekends of the year. Folks will have their tax-refund checks deposited, the weather is getting nice, and it’s the end of the month—when dealers are under pressure to hit sales targets. Three-day weekends always do well, but being at the end of the month makes it a perfect storm for the best car deals.
That means big cash and financing incentives are in place to help dealers move the sheet metal by making deals more attractive to you, the car shopper.
If you are looking for a great deal on a new car, you might not have a better time than this weekend. To help you with your search, MotorTrend affiliate IntelliChoice has listed the best incentives available, broken out three different ways: by largest cash amount, by largest percentage of vehicle price, and by those offering 0 percent financing (which can be worth thousands of dollars in interest rate savings over the life of a loan).
A few caveats: We limited our incentives data to 2019 models. There are even larger incentives on those few remaining 2018s on dealer lots, but those are unicorns. We’re trying to help you find discounts on vehicles that should be readily available on dealer lots.
That said, some of these incentives may have wiggle-room language, such as, “…on select models,” “offers may vary by dealer,” and “certain restrictions may apply.” Lastly, low-rate financing deals are usually reserved only for those with outstanding credit scores.
These incentives also lump in traditional incentives almost always in place at most automakers, such as the recent-graduate discount, military veteran discounts, loyalty cash, or conquest cash. We also limited the incentives calculations to nationally offered deals. Many manufacturers also tack on regional deals, which means you could do even better in certain parts of the country. These cash-back deals mostly apply to cash or financed purchases, although you could try to apply them to lowering the capitalized cost on a lease deal as well. Happy hunting!

And here are the models that have 0 percent financing. Please note that these are usually reserved for those people with good credit, and often are for limited terms—such as 36 months—although sometimes extended-length loans are allowed with 0.9 or 1.9 percent financing.
