Earlier in April, Dutch submersible manufacturer U-Boat Worx debuted its NEMO personal submarine, but to bring things to the next level, the company has now teamed up with Italian yacht design studio Officina Armare to create a superyacht that can actually carry the NEMO.
Requiring just a minimal crew thanks to its simplistic design, the Aquanaut can accommodate up to 12 guests on its open deck. Even when carrying the submersible, the rear portion of the yacht provides ample room for relaxation with an open bar, a dining area, as well as plenty of space for lounging. The foredeck then carries a sunbathing area, a smaller dining table, and a large jacuzzi for an even more luxurious experience. Performance-wise, the boat itself carries two 800-horsepower Volvo engines that can push up to 45 knots, while cruising speeds level out at 30.
Production for the U-Boat Worx x Officina Armare Aquanaut will be on order at a price of $3 million USD and will be made in Turkey by seafaring experts Licia Yachts. With each unit taking between nine to 12 months to complete. To learn more, you can head over to Officina Armare’s website.
