If you want to go 300 mph, you have two choices: the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport and the Koenigsegg Jesko. But, if you want to do the 0-249-0 mph challenge, you’ll need Koenigsegg’s other car, the Regera.
First, Koenigsegg broke Bugatti’s record of 41.96 seconds with a time of 36.44 seconds in the Agera RS. Then it broke its own record time in Nevada with same vehicle and a time of 33.29 seconds. But that wasn’t enough. This month, Christian von Koenigsegg and the team then took a Regera (one twin-turbo V8, three electric motors) to Sweden and broke the same record with a time of 31.49 seconds with Sonny Persson at the helm.
At the end of the video, von Koenigsegg and the engineers are talking about other records, including top speed, and the driver gives the classic, “hold my beer” as he walks out of frame. Even though Bugatti’s done with top speed records, Koenigsegg might not be.
