Renault sponsor Castrol allowed new recruit Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo to sample a Virgin Australia Supercar for the first time ahead of the Australian Grand Prix this Sunday.
Ricciardo took the Castrol Racing and Plus Fitness Racing Kelly Racing Nissan Altima for a drive around Calder Park, impressing regular driver and 2006 champion Rick Kelly with his ability to quickly adapt to the car.
With minimal aero on a car that produces between 620-650 bhp, supercars are a totally different challenge to anything else in the world of motorsports.
