Police have arrested two refugees who found their way into a Ferrari truck, as reported by German newspaper Bild.
The two refugees were reportedly arrested when the truck arrived at Silverstone ahead of the British Grand Prix.
Bild state that the duo climbed onto the truck when it was on the French side of the Eurotunnel near Calais.
“Two men were detained by Northamptonshire police on Wednesday night after being found in the back of a truck at the Silverstone Circuit,” local police told Bild.
“They were arrested on suspicion of possessing a weapon, but no further action was taken.”
To make matters more concerning, the paper then reported that “a Williams truck was involved in a similar incident.”
Both teams will now look to put the encounter behind them and focus on the British Grand Prix.
After coming so close to their first win of 2019 in Austria, Ferrari will hope to finally get off the mark, though team principal Mattia Binotto has played down their chances.
Williams meanwhile will face the unenviable task of trying to catch up to the rest of the grid, but it will be a first home race in Formula 1 for their driver George Russell.
