2020 Kia Telluride: Everything You Need to Know

The 2020 Kia Telluride has been one of the more pleasant surprises in the automotive world, from its fashion show debut to a Best in Show winning appearance at the 2019 North American International Auto Show in Detroit to our first chance to drive it — in Telluride, Colo., of course.

The big three-row Telluride is available in front- or all-wheel drive and is powered by one engine and transmission combination: a 3.8-liter V-6 making 291 horsepower, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Depending on trim level, the Telluride can seat eight with a second-row bench seat and a three-seat third row, or seven with captain’s chairs replacing the bench in the second row.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all trim levels, and the infotainment screen starts at 8 inches, with a 10.25-inch screen available on higher and top grades. Fancier features available on higher trims include a 360-degree camera system, a premium 10-speaker audio system and Kia’s Highway Driving Assist system, which is able to match the Telluride’s cruising speed to changing speed limits.

Pricing for a front-wheel-drive Telluride begins at just $32,735 for the LX model. It increases from there to $35,035 for an S, $38,135 for an EX and $42,535 for the range-topping SX (all prices include a destination charge). Add $2,000 to each price if you’d like to add all-wheel drive.

When it comes to covering the Telluride, we’ve been on top of things from the start. You can catch up on all of it below, from its early previews and custom one-off concepts all the way through our recent First Drive.
