2020 Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster: Test-Drive Video

There’s no shortage of AMG performance models in the Mercedes-Benz lineup — everything from the CLA35 entry-luxury sedan to the G63 performance SUV. Most are based on existing Mercedes vehicles, but a few strictly AMG products also exist, including the 2020 GT C Roadster.

For 2020, Mercedes updated the convertible with styling tweaks and a refreshed interior. The tabletlike dashboard display is now 10.25 inches versus the prior 8.4 inches, with racetrack data logging that can record more than 80 metrics as you apex away. A new, all-digital instrument panel flanks the center display.

Power comes from a 550-horsepower, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine paired with a seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission. It’s a potent pair; Mercedes claims the GT C rockets from 0-60 mph in just 3.6 seconds.

We had a chance to drive this convertible, and it’s true to us that it’s a true sports car. Watch the video below for more.
