It comes after a driver near Glasgow was told by a neighbour they had “no right” to park their vehicle on the street just metres from their own home. The note claimed the driver was “causing an obstruction” and that the authorities would be contacted if it was not removed.
But, Express readers claimed the neighbour had been “misinformed” as they had “no authority” to demand the car was removed.
Jenniffer Garcia added: “Has anyone else noticed just how many people seem to be so aggressive these days, and looking for a problem.
“More than we usually have to cope with.”
‘DingleDell’ added: “Another misinformed neighbourly jobsworth making a fool of themselves.”
‘Broadbeans’ added: “Sadly there are a minority (thank heavens) who are so miserable with their owns lives, they want to inflict the same on all they come into contact with.”
Nelson Montgomery added: “It is a public highway and as long as you are not obstructing, driveways or designated parking spaces indicated by road markings you can park there.
“What you can do when you find this person is sue them for criminal damage to your vehicle as they have no authority whatsoever to place a notice of this kind as they’re not a police officer or traffic warden.”
Express reader ‘CAL’ said: “The made-up private note to intimidate placed on the vehicle has no lawful standing and should be reported to the Police/Local Council, as ASB.”

IanBrown3 added: “Do it again.
“They have no rights to press and so no power over this.
“So long as the car is parked legally and not causing an obstruction.
“Who are the authorities. I have a feeling they do not know themselves.
“Small minded powerless little people.”
Some Express readers reported similar issues down their own streets, even admitting to “winding up” some nosey neighbours.
‘Deano 206’ said: “Got one of these people down our street.
“We just laugh at him and park on his front even more just to wind him up.”
Lloyd Bainbridge added: “Some years ago there was a car parked outside my house, so I had to park my own car further down the road.
“Next morning, flat tyre. Thought it was a coincidence.
“A few weeks later, [the] car was parked outside again, so I parked the car down the road again. Flat Tyre.
“Sneaky sneaky, but I worked out who it was.”
