All the Pickup Truck News: Gladiator, Gladiator, Gladiator

It's all Gladiator, all the time this week as we finally got behind the wheel of Jeep's all-new pickup truck. If that's not enough, we also checked out the (hopefully) upcoming Rivian R1T electric pickup undergoing wind-tunnel testing, found out pricing for the heavy-duty 2019 Ram Lone Star Edition and shared everything you need to know about the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.

First, we got behind the wheel of the new 2020 Jeep Gladiator to find out how it behaves on- and off-road and even towing. Reviewer Aaron Bragman found that, like its Wrangler sibling, the Gladiator excelled away from the paved stuff and was … mostly fine at the rest. We've also got details on pricing for the new mid-size pickup, as well as its fuel economy. And if that's not enough, anyone who orders one of 4,190 $60,000-plus Launch Edition Gladiators will be entered into a contest to win $100,000. The difference between the prize money and the cost of the Launch Edition is probably enough for a few Mopar accessories.

All the Rest

Rivian promised an estimated 400 miles of range with its R1T electric pickup — which means it had better be extremely aerodynamic for a pickup truck. We've got video of engineers testing a clay model of the R1T and sculpting it during testing. Ram's newest special-edition heavy-duty pickup, the latest Lone Star, will start at just less than $40,000. The truck will be distributed only in Texas starting in the second quarter of 2019. Finally, we've collected every bit of coverage we've given to the new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in one place so you can read everything you might want to know about one of the newest full-size pickups on the market.
