Honda Civic Versatilist, Modulo Neo Classic Racer, Jazz Elegant Colour Collection at Tokyo Auto Salon

Aside from Mazda, Honda is also bringing a slew of vehicles to the Tokyo Auto Show next month. More specifically, it’s the company’s aftermarket division, Honda Access, that will be showcasing a range of accessory-laden vehicles at the trade show.

The most eye-catching one, at least to us, is the Civic Versatilist – a Civic Hatchback that’s been beefed up for a more rugged SUV-like appearance. From the sketch provided, the pronounced body cladding and wheel arch flares give it a particularly butch look, along with what appears to be a ride height lift and a strange pair of fins on the front doors.

Of more interest to enthusiasts is the Neo Classic Racer, which takes the S660‘s Neo Classic bodykit – itself based on the Neo Classic Concept from 2016 – and adds a few vintage racing cues to the retro bodywork. These include more aggressive front and rear fascias, bolted-on fender extensions and rear spoiler, fender-mounted door mirrors and leather straps holding down the front clamshell.

Another exhibit is the Jazz Elegant Colour Collection, based on the Jazz‘s Modulo style bodykit and designed for women in mind. To that end, it gets blue wheels and a blue contrast roof, plus gold highlights on the grille and wing mirrors. Honda Access says that these touches provide a “neat feel” and an “adult’s cuteness” (its words, not ours).

Other show cars include the Trip Van, an N-VAN kei car that’s been customised for a surfing lifestyle, as well as a Well Concept based on the StepWGN and billed as the “Family Car of the Future”.
