Honda S660 Trad Leather Edition launched in Japan

To make the Honda S660 even more appealing, the company has launched a new Trad Leather Edition variant in Japan, which retails for 2,275,560 yen (RM85,754) and will go on display at next month’s Tokyo Auto Salon.

The styling revisions that come with the special edition S660 do nothing to make the kei car look sportier, as opposed to ticking every option in the Modulo X catalogue. Instead, Honda says the Trad Leather Edition offers a “fine looking and refined presence,” starting with a brown soft top and special aluminium wheels.

On the inside, the car gets light tan and black leather upholstery on the sports seats, steering wheel, dashboard and instrument panel cover. There’s also an aluminium plate just aft of the gear lever with ‘Trad Leather’ printed on it.

The Trad Leather Edition also gets the City-Brake Active System – an optional feature on lesser variants of the S660. These items are standard fitment regardless of the exterior colour chosen, with Honda offering customers three options – British Green, Premium White and Nighthawk Black.

No changes to the engine, which remains a 660 cc turbocharged three-cylinder petrol with 64 hp and 104 Nm. Drive still goes to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual or CVT automatic.
