Karma SC2 Concept At The Los Angeles Auto Show: Photos/Videos

In theory, it will do 0-60 mph in less than 2 seconds and go up to 350 miles on a single charge.

For quite some time Karma has been working on an all-electric global platform (project e-Klipse), which starting in 2021 will result in the first production models.

Before that happens, the South Californian company teases upcoming BEVs through showing up concepts – first the Karma SC1 Vision Concept, and now the Karma SC2 Concept at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto.

The SC2 Concept reveals to us the design direction of the brand, which as it turns out will stick to the long hood approach. Karma continues to experiment also with the butterfly doors.

The two-seat SC2 Concept is a performance car with truly amazing theoretical potential of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph (96.5 km/h) in 1.9 seconds!

To make it possible, Karma used an 800 kW all-wheel-drive system with four motors (“Front and rear mounted twin electric motors”) that puts out up to 14,000 Nm of torque on the wheels level.

Also, the battery pack is quite substantial – 120 kWh should be enough to go 350 miles (563 km) on a single charge. Interestingly, it’s not a flat pack, but I-shaped, “housed in the center tunnel beneath the dashboard and seats”.

Let’s check the photo gallery and videos from the show.
