When it comes to muscle cars, it’s hard to bet against the best from Chevrolet. From Novas to Chevelles to Camaros, you could pick from the highest form of Chevrolet muscle at the Mecum Auctions 2020 in Kissimmee, Florida. Whether you were looking for small-block barn-burners or big-block monsters, Mecum had them all. All the famous designations were there: SS396, SS454, Nova SS, Z/28, RS, Yenko, and the like. Bill “Grumpy” Jenkins’ 1970 Camaro Pro Stocker from the Don Wallace Collection netted the highest price, hammering at $209,000.

The interesting part of the Chevrolet contingent was that it seemed most of the original muscle took a back seat to a few of the restomods. However, if the car had provenance or a glovebox full of documentation, those cars still went for good money. If you had $50,000 rolling around in your pocket, you would’ve been able to take home a couple nice cars, or a really nice original big-block Chevelle, Camaro, or Nova. Regardless the model you would want to make yours, there were plenty of options wearing a Bow Tie.
