Third Annual Classic Auto Show, 2019

This is the Classic Auto Show’s first time at their new digs at the OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa, CA, which turned out to be much better venue than their previous stops at the aindoor Los Angeles Convention Center. Warm, sunny skies brought out the crowds to the two day festival to enjoy the over 1,500 cars and trucks on the sprawling grounds with its many pavilions. After weeks of rain and cold weather, folks were happy to be outside again. The luck of the Irish smiled down on the guests, vendors and organizers!

Grand Marshal Adam Corolla kicked off the St. Patrick’s Day weekend with a ribbon cutting and a lively no-filter interview from the stage! On display in the hangar were two historic and iconic cars Adam brought from his massive racing car collection: Paul Newman’s championship Triumph TR6 and the Datsun 510 “Different Drummer” Trans Am car. Throughout the weekend, several automotive legends and celebrities participated in interviews and panel discussions followed by a meet-and-greet signing for their fans. Among the special guests, were Dave Kindig, Wayne Carini, Mark Worman, Mike Finnegan, Bogi Lateiner, Andy Leach, Linda Vaughn, Jessi Combs, and Lyn St. James. For this author, the best part was the questions the audiences came up with that never ceased to amaze the guests. Folks know their stuff! It was great that the show encouraged audience participation and allowed time for it. Great way to spend a weekend!

The Fourth Annual Classic Auto Show will return to the OC Fair and Event Center the weekend of March 15-16, 2020.
