The Twin-Supercharged Aston Martin of Your Fantasies Is for Sale

If you’re into strange-looking cars with unique engines, well, do we have the grand-tourer for you. This 2000 Aston Martin Vantage Le Mans V600, one of just 40 produced, has just popped up for sale on eBay Motors. Sporting a bulldog-like face and a twin-supercharged V-8, it’s one of the most interesting Astons ever built.

Built to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Aston Martin’s 1959 Le Mans win, the V600 was the swan song for coach-built cars at the British company. Sporting unique fascias front and rear, it stood out thanks to a nostril-equipped grille, round taillights, and four individual exhaust exits. It’s not as elegant as some other Astons from the decade, but it certainly stands out. This particular car is painted in Aston Martin Racing Green, matched with an eccentric two-tone turquoise and tan interior.

Under the hood is where the Le Mans V600 gets really interesting, though. There you’ll find a 5.3-liter V-8 that’s been strapped with not one, but two superchargers. Sending 600 horsepower to the rear wheels via a manual transmission, it was enough to catapult the car to 100 mph in less than 1o seconds, and hit a top speed over 200 mph.

According to Symbolic International, the San Diego dealership in charge of the car’s sale, this is number 38 of the 40 cars produced. It was originally purchased by His Royal Highness Abdul Aziz Al Thani, a Qatari prince, and sports just 18,485 kilometers (11,486 miles) on the odometer. It’s listed on eBay right now for $459,000 or best offer. Not cheap, we know, but considering how special this car is, we don’t think it’s too unreasonable.
