The first Altroz hatchback has rolled out of Tata’s production line at Pune. The car is scheduled to be launched early next year.
The Altroz is based on the modular ALFA platform. It has a slim grille and slim wraparound headlamps with triangular fog lamp pods placed just below the main headlamp. At the rear, the Altroz has wraparound tail lamps and gloss black trim on the tail gate.
The Tata Altroz is expected to be offered with three engine options including a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine from the Tiago, 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. A 5-speed manual transmission is likely to be offered as standard, while an automatic could be introduced later.
