The 2021 R 1250 GS could be offered in the ’40 years of GS’ livery.
BMW Motorrad is gearing up to launch the updated R 1250 GS adventure bike range in India on July 8, 2021.
The 2021 BMW R 1250 GS and R 1250 GS Adventure are powered by a 1,254cc, twin-cylinder boxer engine that makes 136 BHP @ 7,750 rpm and 143 Nm @ 6,250 rpm. The motor comes equipped with ‘Shiftcam Technology’, which is essentially a variable valve timing system. The engine comes with a new ‘Eco’ mode which, the company claims, improves fuel efficiency.
The updated R 1250 GS and GS Adventure get hill-start control (HSC), heated seats and heated grips with 5-settings. A new Integral ABS Pro system is now part of the standard package. The system uses a six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) to optimise braking performance.
The 2021 R 1250 GS could be offered in the ’40 years of GS’ livery marking the 40th anniversary of the brand.
