Conor Daly to Contest Full IndyCar Season with Two Different Teams

Conor Daly will contest the full IndyCar Series schedule in 2020 for two different teams.

In addition to the 13 races in the Ed Carpenter Racing No. 21 Chevrolet, the 28-year-old has now added the remaining four oval races in the Carlin No. 59 Chevrolet. Daly will drive for Carlin at Texas Motor Speedway on June 6, Richmond Raceway on June 27, Iowa Speedway on July 18, and World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway on August 22.

His Ed Carpenter Racing schedule includes the Indianapolis 500 in addition to every road and street course event. Max Chilton will drive the Carlin No. 59 car in the races Daly drives for Carpenter.

We are BACK to full time @IndyCar competition! Have to first of all thank @ECRIndy @edcarpenter20 for letting me do this. Its been a tough couple years having to watch a lot of racing from the sidelines. Means so much to have this chance. Thank you @CarlinRacing #GallagherRacing pic.twitter.com/dwIPQZxUub

It will be a familiar setting for Daly who took over for Chilton in 2019 when the Briton revealed that he would no longer drive on the remaining ovals after the Indianapolis 500. Daly had already raced for Andretti Autosport at Indianapolis, Carlin for the remaining ovals and Schmidt Peterson Motorsports at Portland.

Daly finished sixth at Gateway last year, providing the British team its best result of the season.
