Edelbrock and the Hot Rod Staff on Power Tour 2018

We wanted to bring our Hot Rod Test Car on Power tour this year and the folks over at Edelbrock hooked us up with an E-Force supercharger kit. We installed it on a 2012 Chevy Camaro that has been passed around between several of our sister magazines over the years. GM High Tech Performance, Chevy High Performance, and Car Craft magazines have all worked on it, and now that it was our turn. A blower kit was the obvious solution.

Edelbrock’s E-Force supercharger kit is very comprehensive and included everything we needed to install it on the car. Once all of the heavy lifting was done, we loaded a tune from Edelbrock using an SCT handheld tuner without ever having to go to the dyno. After getting the car wrapped in red, it was shipped off to Bowling Green Kentucky for the start of Power Tour, where its performance exceeded expectations as it took on the road trip, drag strip, and the autocross.

Because it did so well on Power Tour, we had to know how these superchargers and other Edelbrock project were made, so we stopped in at their headquarters in Torrance, California to find out. In their facility, Edelbrock makes all of their speed parts, from the design phase to manufacturing. Network Editor Jacob Davis took a tour of the facility and got to help build an E-Force supercharger. If you’ve bought one recently, it may be the one he helped assemble!
