Formula One has introduced a new kid-oriented broadcast at the 2023 Hungarian Grand Prix weekend. The first-of-its-kind show, called F1 Juniors will be broadcast by the Sky Group and will be hosted by children, backed by pro commentators and even a few retired racing drivers.
The kid-oriented broadcast will be featured in two languages: English & German; with a specialised production which makes the sport more approachable to children. The broadcast is said to include graphics & animations, cartoon avatars of each driver, family-friendly radio transmission and simple technical overviews.
The show will be hosted by a trio of kids, backed by 2016 F1 world champion Nico Rosberg, Indycar race winner Danica Patrick and Sky’s regular commentary team. The trio of kids though will get to experience all kinds of responsibilities from interviewing drivers to commentating on the race and also offering their own analysis.
