The Figo petrol is available in three variants – Ambiente, Titanium, and Titanium Blu. The higher variants are expected to get the automatic transmission.
According to a media report, Ford is gearing up to launch an automatic version of the Figo petrol this month. Dealer staff training for the product is expected to start soon.
For quite a while now, the Figo has been available in India with a manual gearbox only. Its rivals get manual as well as automatic transmission options, which puts the Ford at a disadvantage. Now, the company plans to introduce a 6-speed torque converter unit, which will be mated to the car’s 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Dragon petrol engine. This is the same transmission that has been used in the EcoSport. The petrol engine produces 95 BHP @ 6,500 and 119 Nm @ 4,250 rpm. It has an ARAI certified FE of 18.5 km/l.
The Figo petrol is available in three variants – Ambiente, Titanium, and Titanium Blu. The higher variants are expected to get the automatic transmission. Ford might introduce this gearbox in the Aspire and Freestyle after a while as well.
The Figo is also available with a 1.5-litre diesel engine that puts out 99 BHP @ 3.750 rpm and 215 Nm @ 1,750 – 2,500 rpm. The Figo diesel comes in the Titanium, and Titanium Blu variants and has an ARAI certified FE of 24.4 km/l.
